Product Description : The sizing on this uniform may not be what you're expecting. PLEASE be sure to check our size charts to make sure you're going to get a good fit as we want to save you the trouble of doing an exchange. (though we DO have the best exchange policy in the industry!) This is a "summerweight" version of our popular gold weave uniform. Solid black, this kimono has a Jiu-Jitsu cut with the heavy collar and heavily reinforced pants. It was specifically designed to withstand the most intense grappling during training and competition. Seams are reinforced - especially in the shoulders, lapel and sleeves. It also has reinforcements (double thickness) in the underarms, jacket split and pants drawstring openings. The entire front knees have double thickness material all the way to the ankle and the pants have a cotton cord rather than material for the drawstring. This gi will last for YEARS. This is DEFINITELY NOT intended for beginning students and we'd suggest you consider a "single weave" or light weight gi before investing in one of these. This uniform does NOT comes with a belt (if you're getting this, we kind of assume you already have one). It is made of 100% 475g cotton and includes 10 oz drill cotton pants with a traditional drawstring waist. We created this variation of our "heavy" gold weave uniform specifically for people that want something that's a little lighter but still the same great comfort of the gold weave uniform. These are especially for people training in hotter or more humid environments. This kimono has no patches on the outside. Nothing to take off if you "just want a kimono".
